This story is really very weird. Interesting weird!!
Anyways, there are many turning points in these 10 chapter, I'll just give the main points or the main turning points!
Anyways, there are many turning points in these 10 chapter, I'll just give the main points or the main turning points!
- It all starts out with depression. Hilda & Ellen were so devastated about the death of Doug ( who turned out to be alive)
- An old lady gives Ellen some hope but Hilda doesn't feel a thing for the vision. By time, Ellen starts to really believe in future-tellers/vision-tellers and stuff and goes to see a woman who can see through stones and figure out the future.
- Another major turning point that happened is the fact that Gertie comes for a visit and then finds them a place to stay in Hampshire ( a police officer's cottage; he gave it to them rent-free which helped Hilda)
- As Ellen and Hilda moved, Mabel left too and took Billy along with her (Billy is her son, who now developed into a more decent boy) and by time Ellen crushed on him while he didn't notice her :P hahah how pathetic :P
- Mabel's husband got wounded and so she rushed back to London (Ellen was devastated about Billy's departure, but he only felt reluctant to the thought of leaving to London)
- Hilda didn't want to go back to London because she though it was "bad luck", but what the hell?!! If that's her fate, then it is.
- Many events went on when they were back in London: - Doug and Hilda fought about her getting a job. - Mabel was so confused about sending her son, Billy, back to Hampshire. (since he kept on nagging!) * Ellen didn't want him to leave. - Billy leaves and Ellen is devastated. - Percy, Billy brother, finds out he has feelings for Ellen. One confusing, messed up triangle love :P hahaha
- Gertie comes back at the end and has a purpose of helping them get through their messed up lives.
* Im confused about what's gonna happen in Ellen's love life :P hahah
*** This novel is an interesting one! Hope you enjoy this!!
Ellen's love life will end soon since well Billy prefers 'blondes' haha!
ردحذفbut yes I wasn't glad that they returned to London and especially with Doug's back it would be more hard to find a good job and also with all the destruction and damage, don't you agree?
and also about Hilda keeping her daughter in the light of innocence that is very dumb I might add!
about Hilda: yeah, though she isn't a 'believer'. she seems pretty superstitious... I feel like Hilda WANTS to believe in something, but is afraid of being let down all the time. She's too practical for her own good :P
ردحذفand she really needs to open her eyes and see that Ellen is growing up. Wouldn't it be safer and more prudent to treat her daughter as someone more mature, and thus Ellen would be more cautious?? I mean, Billy isn't really the "ideal person" for Ellen :P
and yeah Ellen's love life is confusing a bit :P
i feel bad for Percy though; he seems like a nice person, but he isn't really noticed..
:)
Keeping the timeline in mind isn't it acceptable for Hilda to behave the way she does?Probably that's one of the irony in the story that will be revealed later..
ردحذفGhalia I totally agree with you; even about Hilda!Sooner or later, Ellen will have to find out about all what life holds for each person but I do believe what Mrs. Shabana mentioned about that having to do with something in the coming chapters. I also totally agree with you Nour; ofcourse Billy isn't the ideal person for Ellen :P
ردحذفThanks for taking the time to read this (:
